T-SEDA

An interactive version of the T-SEDA resource pack

The Teacher Scheme for Educational Dialogue Analysis (T-SEDA) is a resource pack designed for primary and secondary school teachers to support their use of dialogic pedagogy, which offers encouraging outcomes. Note that educators at all levels (including higher education) have also used this pack.

If you have not already watched it, Video 5 from the Introductory Video Series offers an overview of the T-SEDA pack.

T-SEDA presents three tools to support teachers in generating high quality educational dialogue in classrooms:

  1. A self-audit grid for teachers to systematically reflect on their current practice
  2. A reflective cycle for teacher-led classroom inquiry that presents a step-by-step cycle to transform practice and keep a record of how this happens
  3. A coding scheme to identify key dialogic features and moments of high quality dialogue in the classroom alongside the conditions that create these.

You can download the most recent version of the pack on the T-SEDA site.

Note that an interactive version of this pack will be developed and placed here on this page, so watch this space!
