This video focuses on the different ways you can carry out coding of dialogue in your classroom and the tools and templates that are provided in the T-SEDA pack that will help you to do this.

Video 13: Identifying productive dialogue: ‘building on’ and ‘challenging’ ideas
This video explains how to identify productive dialogue through coding. There is a brief introduction on what coding is and how to code, focusing on the dialogue codes ‘build on’ and ‘challenge’ from the T-SEDA pack. There are also further activities to try out coding yourself. You can also try more coding activities in Video 14 below.

This video provides information about dialogue in the context of small group work. It explores the benefits and challenges of this, as well as providing examples of learning outcomes.
